The genius Nikola Tesla

Nikola TeslaThe genius Nikola Tesla who ushered in the age of electrical power was born on 9th of July 1856, in village of Smiljan near the town of Gospic, Croatia. Tesla was a real genius who contributed in the early age when men discovered electrical power. In developing his scientific hypothesis, Tesla had a vivid imagination and also intuitive ways in dealing with his findings. The electric motor was something that he first did after he watched a demonstration where a machine when operated in one direction is a generator but when reversed is an electric motor. This is the step that led him to the successful application of alternating current.

After he completed his elementary schooling in Croatia, he then furthered his studies in Polytechnic School in Graz before he completed his degree in University of Prague. After him graduated, he worked as an electrical engineer in Germany, Hungary and France. In 1884, he then migrated to the United States of America for a better life.

In New York, Tesla worked with Thomas Edison but unfortunately their collaboration led to their separation because of their differences in styles and ideas. In 1887, Tesla’s experiment extended to a variety of studies and researches, from the exploration of electrical resonance to lighting system. Finally in 1892, Tesla became a United States citizen and his career back then was at the peak of his creativeness. Tesla continued to contribute his skills and knowledge until he died on 7th of January 1943.
