We also run advertising through Google AdSense. That revenue is what pays for the hosting and the research time behind this archive.

1. Why This Page Exists

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission requires websites to clearly disclose any material connection between the site and the products it recommends. This page is that disclosure, published in accordance with 16 CFR Part 255, the FTC’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.

2. What an Affiliate Link Is

An affiliate link is a tracked link to a merchant. When you follow one and complete a purchase, the merchant pays this site a percentage of the sale. You pay exactly what you would have paid going to the merchant directly. The commission comes out of the merchant’s margin, not your wallet.

3. Programs We Participate In

3.1 Amazon Associates

ForgottenWizard.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Our tracking tag is forgottenwizard-20.

Amazon links on this site point to department-scoped searches rather than single product listings. That is deliberate: individual listings go out of stock and become dead ends, while a search keeps showing current, in-stock options.

3.2 Starlink Referral Program

The Starlink card in our Resources section uses a referral link. If you sign up for service through it, this site receives referral credit from SpaceX.

  • Every news article that includes a product recommendation carries a disclosure inside that block.
  • Sponsored placements are labeled where they appear.

6. How Recommendations Are Chosen

Editorial content and monetization are kept separate. No merchant pays for coverage in our news section, and no commission rate determines what gets written about or which books get recommended. The recommendations here are the same ones we would give someone who asked in person: primary sources first, then the biographies that work from the documented record, then the kits and textbooks that let you see the engineering for yourself.

If a recommendation stops being the right one, it gets replaced. Commission is not a reason to keep a bad link up.

7. No Guarantees

We do not manufacture, sell, ship, or support any product linked from this site. Pricing, availability, shipping, returns, and warranty are entirely between you and the merchant. Product details on merchant sites change without notice, so verify before you buy.
